Never use Scholars mate

Image
WHY NOT TO USE SCHOLARS MATE Scholar's mate is a checkmate in 4 in the game of chess. Because of that, it may seem like a great combination of moves, but it's not.  In the position above White is threatening to play scholar's mate. Black can easily defend by pawn g6. Even though I said that scholar's mate isn't a good set of moves, you still have to watch out. In the position above, this is the scholar's mate delayed. White is still threatening checkmate on the next move. A good move would be knight f6. Then, all those moves White wasted for a checkmate would be just a lack of development for White and an advantage for Black. However, let's go back to this position. Before you play this move (g6) and attack the Queen, you have to play knight b6 or else this happens. the Queen will capture the unguarded e5 pawn and fork the king and rook and White will win a whole rook and most likely win the game.

Sri Lanka recommendations

My trip to Sri Lanka, Pearl of the Indian Ocean   In this blog, I will write about my trip to Sri Lanka. I will put recommendations from best experience to good experience. 1. The Riu Hotel. The Riu Hotel is a Five-star hotel in Sri Lanka and is one of the best hotels I ever visited. It has three pools, and one of them includes water polo and water volleyball. What more, the water is also heated! The next best thing is the buffet. There, I got to choose food from bread to pizza to soup! Also, you can try Sri Lankan food as well as other food from around the globe! When I got to see my room, I was flabbergasted. I felt like I just took a trip to my best dreams.  That is guaranteed to be on your bucket list.  2. The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is a great place to see elephants. And because I went on the birthday of two twin elephants, I got to feed and pet them. They reached my list of best friends ever. However, you don't have to go on any birthday to wash the elephants i...

Would you like to learn about the oldest national park in the United States of America? If so, this blog is for you. You will learn about its history and attractions. History Yellowstone was established way back in 1872, which was about 152 years ago!! The park forms a square-like rectangle, which is 63 miles from north to south and 54 miles from east to west at its widest point, so it covers an area of 3,472 square miles. The rectangle covers parts of Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. Attractions One incredibly famous attraction is Old Faithful geyser, which can erupt over a hundred feet, the good news is that it is right next to the beautiful Old Faithful Inn. That is only one of the many geysers there. Below is a table with eruption heights and activeness for three famous geysers. All this formed because the Yellowstone super volcano erupted. It actually had two causes. First, it made Yellowstone the place with magma closest to the surface, only 3 miles below. Second, all the therm...
