Never use Scholars mate

WHY NOT TO USE SCHOLARS MATE
Scholar's mate is a checkmate in 4 in the game of chess. Because of that, it may seem like a great combination of moves, but it's not.

In the position above White is threatening to play scholar's mate. Black can easily defend by pawn g6. Even though I said that scholar's mate isn't a good set of moves, you still have to watch out.

In the position above, this is the scholar's mate delayed. White is still threatening checkmate on the next move. A good move would be knight f6. Then, all those moves White wasted for a checkmate would be just a lack of development for White and an advantage for Black. However, let's go back to this position.

Before you play this move (g6) and attack the Queen, you have to play knight b6 or else this happens. the Queen will capture the unguarded e5 pawn and fork the king and rook and White will win a whole rook and most likely win the game.
